Not always. In many cases, sellers primarily see order totals, commissions, and earnings displayed in the marketplace’s base currency to help keep reporting and account management consistent across regions.
The currency selected by the customer is used during checkout and payment processing, but it may not always be shown directly in seller dashboards unless specific multi-currency reporting features are enabled.
For example, a customer may pay in Japanese Yen (JPY) while the marketplace operates in GBP. Depending on the seller’s Stripe payout settings, the seller may ultimately receive funds in another supported payout currency such as EUR or USD, with any required currency conversion handled by the payment provider.
