The displayed browsing currency is not, by itself, a guarantee of the final charge currency. Checkout uses Stripe Adaptive Pricing, which can choose the presentment currency based on the buyer and checkout context. The payment page shows the amount and currency the buyer is being asked to pay before they confirm payment.
