Not always. In most cases, sellers see the order total, commission, and their earnings in the marketplaces base currency. The currency the customer paid in is used at checkout, but it is typically not shown in seller dashboards unless specifically enabled. This keeps things consistent and avoids confusion when handling orders from multiple regions.
For example, if a customer pays in Japanese Yen (JPY), the system records the order using the store’s base currency (e.g. GBP). The seller sees amounts in GBP, while their payout is automatically converted to their account currency (e.g. EUR) if needed, with conversion handled by the payment provider.
