For example, if a customer pays in EUR and the seller’s payout account is in GBP, the seller’s share will be automatically converted into GBP before being deposited. The payment provider uses the current exchange rate and may deduct a small fee for the conversion. Sellers can minimise or avoid this fee by using a payout account that matches their typical payment currency, if available.
