Trademark Policy
This Trademark Policy explains how trademarks are treated on the Light Ideas platform. It applies to all users, including buyers, sellers, and visitors, and is intended to protect both the Light Ideas brand and the rights of third-party trademark owners.
1. What Is a Trademark?
A trademark is a word, phrase, symbol, or design that identifies and distinguishes the source of goods or services. Trademarks help consumers know the origin of a product and ensure brand authenticity and trust.
2. Our Trademark Rights
Light Ideas® is a registered trademark with the UK Intellectual Property Office (UK IPO) and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). This protection also applies to associated brand assets, including our logo, domain name, taglines, and other visual or verbal identifiers.
These trademarks may not be used without our express written permission.
Unauthorised use includes — but is not limited to — imitating or reproducing our logo, branding, or name in:
- Product listings
- Store or account names
- Domain names or URLs
- Advertising, social media, or promotional materials
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our trademark rights, and may take further legal action where appropriate.
3. Third-Party Trademarks
Sellers are responsible for ensuring that products listed on Light Ideas do not infringe third-party trademarks. This includes avoiding use of brand names, logos, or marketing text that misleads or implies unauthorised affiliation.
Light Ideas does not allow the sale of counterfeit or imitation goods. Infringing content will be removed, and repeated violations may result in account suspension.
4. Reporting Trademark Infringement
If you believe your registered trademark is being infringed on our platform, you can report it by contacting us with the following information:
- Trademark registration number and country
- Link to the infringing listing or seller
- Proof of ownership or authority
- Your full contact information
Send reports to legal@lightideas.com.
5. Enforcement and Removal
We may remove listings that infringe trademark rights without notice. Repeated or deliberate violations may result in further account actions, including permanent suspension.
6. Legal Notice
Light Ideas acts in good faith to address all valid trademark claims. We operate under applicable IP laws, including the UK IPO, EUIPO, and USPTO guidelines. This policy does not replace legal advice—please consult a solicitor if you’re unsure of your rights or obligations.
